The Energy Smart Commercial & Industrial Energy Efficiency Program makes it easy for local Michigan businesses to reduce your energy usage, lower your costs and earn rebates when you make certain energy-saving updates. Whether you run a restaurant, dry cleaning business or corner market, we can help you make improvements – such as lighting, HVAC, and kitchen equipment – more affordable.

The Energy Smart Residential Energy Efficiency Program helps qualifying Michigan residents, like you, make energy-efficient choices for your home, by offering rebates when you purchase certain energy-saving products or equipment. You can earn rebates on a wide range of qualifying purchases, from ENERGY STAR® appliances and electronics to programmable thermostats and furnaces

LED Light Bulb Rebates

LED Light Bulb Rebates for Residential Customers

As a residential customer, you could earn a rebate of up to $4 per LED bulb (exterior or interior). LED bulbs last up to ten times longer than incandescent bulbs, and can use up to 90% less energy.

Applying for your rebate is easy. Simply purchase qualifying LED light bulbs, fill out your rebate coupon, then mail it in with a copy of your receipt. We’ll send you a rebate check!

Qualifying LED light bulbs must be ENERGY STAR® rated, and the rebate amount cannot exceed the cost of the bulb. Full program details, rules and restrictions can be found on the rebate coupon.

Additionally, income qualified customers are now eligible to replace old, inefficient refrigerators free with a new, ENERGY STAR® certified model through the Energy Smart Program. There's never been a better time to invest in electric vehicles. There are now over 175 models of electric vehicles on the road and automotive manufacturers are aggressively investing in EV technologies and rolling out new models with greater range each year.

Discover ways to reduce the cost of purchasing and operating an electric vehicle. Purchase and install a qualifying Level 2 (240V) charging station at your home and receive up to $500 or for your business and receive up to a $2000 incentive.*

*Must be a Level 2 Charger(and/or level 3 charger for commercial). Must be 240 volts and hard-wired. Must have wi-fi connectivity. Subject to funding availability. Multiple chargers at MPPA members approval.
