The department is based on community involvement and welcomes the chance to work with the people of Dowagiac. 2019 was our debut for National Night Out and we look forward to hosting many more. Officer Prins and Officer Lewis (pictured below) challenged the community to "Git Up" and showcased their moves along with several community members- Stay tuned to find out the 2020 Challenge.

The Black Family Celebration brought the community together and invited our department to do finger printing and
allow the kids to learn about police and fire equipment. This JR Chieftain is in HOT PURSUIT of popsicles.
Battle of the Badges Blood Drive teamed up with the American Red Cross and broke the record for the most blood collected in Dowagiac at a single drive.
A total of 60 units was collected amounting to 180 LIVES SAVED.
