The Dowagiac Fire Department is now accepting applications for part time firefighter positions.
To Apply

You must be 18 years of age or older, with high school diploma or GED.
You must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
You must live in or near the City of Dowagiac.
All training and equipment will be provided to you.

Dowagiac Fire Dept. is a car seat inspection and installation station. We have a car seat technician that can assist you with the installation of your cars seats. The child MUST be present during the inspection/installation. Call for appointment scheduling at 269-782-9563. Unfortunately we do not have any car seats to give out at this time. We now have more smoke detectors to Give Away!! Thanks to a donation by SERVPRO. Stop in at the Dowagiac Fire Department to pick your smoke detector. The office hours are M-F 8a-4p and Sat 8a-12 noon. You can call for appointment to pick them up also.
