Hydrant
Flushing
| |
Program occurs at least
once each year for one week. DPS crews turn on fire hydrants
to clear the water mains of accumulated iron deposits
and to wash the large accumulation of debris on the streets
and catch basins through the storm and sanitary sewer
systems to the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
NOTE: If the water in your home is discolored by the
flushing, it is suggested that you drain your hot water
tank to remove any rust particles that may have accumulated
and flush your water pipes by letting the water run for
5-10 minutes. |
|
Christmas

The City will dispose of natural Christmas trees that
are placed curbside. |

staff reviews requests from residents, staff, or
other departments for sidewalks in need of repair
or replacement. |
|
Sidewalk
locations are placed on a list and forwarded to
the City Administration for review. |
|
Bid
specifications are prepared and notices are sent
to affected homeowners with an estimated cost for
repairs. |
|
Upon
completion, costs are determined and invoices are
sent to the homeowner for their portion of the cost
for the sidewalk repair. |
|
